

TBRHSC Youth Injury Prevention
TBRHSC Youth Injury Prevention Program is offered twice per month to local and regional high schools for grades 9-12.
This 2-hour program is designed to engage youth with immersive in-class learning and the practical application of injury awareness and prevention. Youth attending this program will have the opportunity to interact with various community partners and become familiar with several community resources. This course is currently run off-site at the Northwest Region Prehospital Care Program Simulation and Training Centre located at 44 Algoma St South, Thunder Bay, ON.
A brief overview of the topics covered in this program include; what is risk and how to manage risk, substance use, risk with impairment, injury prevention strategies, harm reduction strategies, road safety and mental wellness.
